    They''re Not Babies Anymore!

Post  SlightlySquishy on Thu May 14, 2009 11:50 pm

Well, it's official, my "babies" are flying. I guess they aren't babies anymore! I've also noticed that they seem to have some kind of beef with Charlie Brown, or at least the picture of him on the Snoopy Snow Cone machine box. lol They aren't happy pigeons if they can't go and peck at Charlie Brown's head at least once a day.

Feisty is the one who has the lighter grey wings with the dark grey stripes. Tiny is darker, though she has a white back. You just can't see it when her wings are folded. The feathers across her breast are also edged in a deep brown, while Feisty doesn't seem to have a lick of brown on him.

Oh.... and doesn't my poor dog look scared? I think that I get that look when Feisty flies up and lands on my head. I think that is the "please don't poop in my hair" look. lol

Yeah, that's my husband. Very Happy He's just as attached to these little guys as I am. He was disappointed that he had such a hard time with the baby formula, but is all excited now about being able to put together seed blends for them. I think that some of the things that we like so much about them is that they are soft and nice to cuddle, and they seem to like being with us. Tiny doesn't fly as well as Feisty, so she flaps around and then settles on an arm or shoulder to stay. Fei though, he thinks he's some kind of acrobat, and he finishes his fancy flying by... landing on my head. Sometimes I can convince him to land on my hand or shoulder, but if Tiny is already there, he just plunks down on my head. My husband thinks it is hilarious. I say that it's all fun and games until I get poop in my hair though. lol

Yea, it's all about the poop. I've got a little hen that likes to ride my shoulder while I clean and every so often, she lands on my head, but ONLY after she's walked through some poop so she can get it in my hair.......... Faints
