The other day it was unseanonable hot, in the 80's, and I was working outside and noticed this very smart toad sitting right in front of the out flow filter on one of our ponds. You can't see from the photo but he's resting a front foot in the tube so the water runs on his tummy.

Mr. Toad stayed there quite awhile cooling off.

LOL, Shi, now you're gonna make me research the difference between a toad and a frog. I use the title interchangeably cause I just don't know any better! Beats me

    But I will...........know better that is............if I don't forget............ Rolling Eyes

Thanks for the link, Renee, very clear info and easy to understand. The only thing that is not said is that frogs are of the Ranidae family while toads are of the Bufonidae family. Dont congratulate me,I've just seen it in the dictionary Gladys

Umm......I didn't know that but I'm not a frog person either.........LOL......I think that web site is geared toward children, so the 'dae family that a toad/frog is from probably wasn't a real priority.........

Renee, thank you! I sure didn't know all that stuff. I kinda thought all toads/frogs had warts. I love simple, easy to understand sites like that.
