I think your guess is a very good one, ED! I looked at German Owls online and Kailey's pigeon looks very much like one, except hers doesn't have a crest on the head. I bet George would know for sure what this bird is, maybe he'll pop by soon and help identify the breed for certain.
Really a beautiful pigeon though for sure, and really sweet looking....you must be proud Kailey.

Hi Kailey
Pigeon breed identification isn't my strong point either but she is very pretty and cute that's for sure!

Her head contour looks like a figurita. The shield color and white tail resemble German owl. I think she is a hybrid of these two. I don't think she got any Oriental Frill because she got clean legs and white tail. I don't think she is a pure bred, either. But she is a very beautiful hybrid which may even be prettier than her pure bred parents.

Yes...thank you Psx9 for responding and offering your opinion to Kailey!
Your observations sound very good to me and when I thought about what you said, it did seem to help identify the "breed" in a very sensible way!
Not too many of us are good at breed identification, would be very nice if you stuck around to help with that.
Of course you are very welcome to stick around and post in any capacity.
