Not sure if you guys saw this or it was posted. It's rather interesting! I feel bad for the couple but I can't think what would drive this bird to act this way.

hilarious ROTFL Cute story and funny pics! lol! It sounds as if the couple are quite bothered by the pheasant at times during these attacks, but they are kind and wouldn't harm the bird. He said that he feels it's hormones of the male and a territorial thing, seems reasonable enough to me. Smile

Thanks for sharing, hadn't heard or seen this....LOVE those pics! hilarious

On a much ligther note, I have a pigeon who has become obsessed with outfoxing me to get out of the coop. Initially it was very amusing - now I am sorry to say that I have been beaten by a bird brain on more than one occassion. He started by hanging on the screening just inside the door. The first time he dropped down on my head as I leaned in to pick up the feed tray and he flew out. He landed on the landing board and danced and pranced - seemingly to taunt me and the pigeons stuck inside. He quickly learned he can get out without the stop on my head. I became wise enough to look for him perched in his attack position and stopped him and thought the problem solved. His next move was to sit all the way across the coop and fly directly over me - worked more than once. He hides off to the left sometimes and swings around. Lately he has taken to go behind me and between my legs waiting for me to leave. These pigeons never cease to amaze me.

Wow, HUGH! I would definitely BREED that pij!!

Sounds like he has better than average smarts!! Is his name Einstein? Also sounds like he would be a great "intelligent experiments" that are done with some pigeons!

Sorry, but I AM ROTFL ROTFL hilarious at his antics! He sure has YOUR number!!

    Any picture of him??

Wishing ALL THE BEST WITH LOVE, HUGS and SCRITCHES

    Shi and sunny

Mr. Squeaks (who is more than happy to egg your pij on and will even volunteer to help him find new ways to fool you!)

    TTT...that is some link!

I noticed that he is an Ornithologist and has no intention of killing the bird! GOOD FOR HIM!!

Will be interesting to see what happens in time if the hormones drop...'course, there IS always the territorial issue! That peacock is quite the character! ROTFL

    Many thanks for posting!

This seems quite unusual! We have a lot of pheasants around our place and they are so nervous! If one catches me watching it from the house, it runs off at high speed before I have time to blink. Shocked

Nice story though and I'm glad the bird hasn't come to any harm. Very Happy
