I don't know if anyone has posted this, but it's pretty cool (and very addicting to watch):

    Yes, indeed! VERY addicting!!

There are more and more of these live cams popping up...

I've been an avid voyeur of Phoebe, an Allen's Hummingbird in California. She had thousands of fans from all over the world.

The Eagles are really getting into being live camed (is that a word?) too. Hopefully, if people understand more about our wildlife, become involved and concerned, they will have more respect.

Thank you so much for posting! Wishing the youngster ALL THE BEST!!

    Love and Hugs

That is a great cam, I like the ones that are in real time and full motion like this one. Some of them are slow and only capture a few images at a time then refresh the screen. Those ones are not fun to watch. Unfortunately it's getting dark in NJ now and it looks like the mother might be settling down on her chicks for the night. Will have to try and watch tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the link Bill! Smile

Pitch black here too, so I'm guessing it's because it's night rather than it not working, hehe.

Looking forward to seeing it as the sun comes up. I think this is a fantastic way of viewing animals and wildlife, so much better than a zoo!

Thought I'd add the Canadian Edition. This is in British Columbia - there's an aerial map at the bottom of the page.

Just bumping this up! The eaglets are now feathered and have been banded. They are looking rather wet today though with the rainy weather.

Evidently the Canadian Eagles stay up longer.

AND, bonus offer, you get to watch the leaves grow.

I've been keeping up to date fairly regularly with these two and they are both looking great! Very Happy I haven't seen any of the parents for a while but I know they will be around keeping an eye on the kids who are flapping around a lot more and exploring other branches close to the nest. According to the site, the eaglets remain within their nesting site for around 20 weeks from the time of nest building till they are mature enough to live independently. Very Happy

These cams are a marvellous way to observe nature. Are they expensive and difficult to install?
