It's been quite awhile since I posted any videos of my birds so I thought I would post a few for everyone. These were taken just the other day, May 5, 2010 and while cleaning up their room. The first video is Ricky, lounging around and waiting for her slave (me) to clean up her droppings and scattered seeds.



Second video was taken on Eggbert and Lucy's side of the room. Eggbert wants Lucy to set up a nest on the carpetted area, but Lucy is not keen on that choice. Still, she shows her affection towards her mate while nasty old Eggbert tries to viciously attack his "rival"....um, his daughter and a hen who only loves him unconditionally. Never understood and never will why Eggbert hates Ricky so much! He's a male bird, flanked by two females fighting over his attention! Not another male pigeon around to hamper his desires....(sigh).



And a 3rd video of me handfeeding Lucy and Eggbert sunflower seeds....they LOVE those! Eggbert was never introduced to these particular seeds in his previous life, but once he watched his two daughters go nuts for them, he soon become an addict himself. Never would have fed out of my hand prior and until he discovered his love of sunflowers.

Just LOVE those RUNTS!! Wanna hold 'em and hold 'em and pet 'em and pet 'em!! They are soooo beautiful, especially that Lucy!

I can just hear Lucy now with the handfeeding....hey, Eggy, ya snooze, ya lose...MORE for ME!!

Well, as you well know...some males just aren't that gung ho about soooome females! Maybe Ricky is a "controlling/feisty" hen and Eggbert wants docile!

Your hand in the last clip certainly puts their size in perspective - they really are BIG! The girls are gorgeous and Eggbert's definitely all guy.

I LOVE seeing videos of your birds, Brad!!! They have developed into such beautiful pigeons, I can't believe my eyes.

Enjoyed Eggbert as he was trying to eat as much of the sunflowers as he could, it's so cute how he found a taste for them too!!

We hadn't seen your runts for a while Brad, thanks for posting their pics. They are looking quite lovely as usual. Interesting to see that birds can feel aversion for one of their kind just humans can. I forget how old are your birds.

It was lovely to see them and I particularly liked the last one of Eggbert and Lucy scoffing the sunflower seeds. I can see that they really enjoyed them!

Me too. I always associate runt with undersized, but these look like big healthy birds.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on the birds and the videos. Not much interesting really ever happens in the bird room, but it was nice to take some new videos of them. Gladys, my young pigeons are on the cusp of turning 6, Eggbert is 9.

That one that walks around after eating some seeds from your hand... is wasting time walking around after eating every few seeds. The other one - the pretty one - keeps going. That one's smart.

Those video's are neat and that black and white (more white) bird is stunning and those birds are very spoiled for I can tell and yes I guess you are their slave and did you ever notice that when you have one dropping on a whole floor that they manage to step on that one dropping..lol Very nice and thank you for sharing your pigeon video in a updated version....c.hert

Yeah...Eggbert isn't the smartest pigeon in the coop. hehehe. He also has trouble seeing things up close because of facial feathers that block his view. He seems to like to go around for a better look at different angles sometimes.
