This is quite comical, these people really need to learn to keep themselves and their children away from ornery/territorial and nesting birds!

Hmm, it is not comical when it happens to YOU! Some years ago Pierre and I were attacked by a flock of Teru Teros as we were walking accross some golf links in Uruguay. We were not actually hurst but it was terrifying having them flying down on us with their beaks open and making such threatening noises. These birds nest right on the ground and are known to become very aggressive if their nests are approached by anyone. I had a handbag with long straps and I kept throwing it in circles around our heads to keep them off as we walked away as fast as we could. We never saw the nests but must have passed near them inadvertantly. They finally flew away. OUF!!!

When I rescued a baby Grackle here, the family knew and would dive bomb me every time I came out in the open! Then again, how could they miss red hair with a white streak??!!
Mockingbirds would dive bomb people walking on the ASU campus if their nests were nearby! They were quite aggressive about it too!
I'm sure there are still people who have nightmares after seeing Alfred Hitchcock's movie, "The Birds" !

Wow! Nothing like that happened to me but I remember wearing a brightly coloured wind breaker when little at the zoo in Pishawar, Pakistan and the peacock male behind the barrier started strutting and seemed kind of annoyed at me so my mother pulled me away.
My sisters and I learned very quickly to stay away from the flock of geese that walked past our house on a daily basis when we lived in northern Iraq, they do get very aggressive.
Yesterday I was at Ontario Place, it's like a fun amusement park type of place for kids and families. There was a swan nesting right near the water by a pathway, it was nice to see what looked like a barrier set up on all three sides of her nest by the staff there to prevent people from disturbing her.
