    Don't mess with an Emu!

I found these comical videos showing emus chasing dogs and other critters. No animals are harmed but it goes to show you just how aggressive these birds are. Some might be 'playing', or would seem to be, but it's hard to know what they are thinking. Razz

Brad: I love that 2nd video with the banjo music and the dog and Emu playing with each other and I was amazed that the horses did not move through the whole thing and that was enjoyable..c.hert

Yes, I agree with c.hert....think the second one was the funniest!

Don't know where it comes from, but did you know that Emu Oil is great for healing scars??

Ive been bitten by an emu... it hurt! I was on choir camp and we stopped for lunch in a national park (we were on the bus) and there was Emu's in the park (fenced off from the picnic facilitys). A friend and I were feeding them bits of apple and one got over exited and bit be on the hand.
Then another male turned up (we were feeding two females and a male) and we got to watch them spar, it was a very noisey affair.

I have to admit I was partial to the 2nd video as well. Wink It was very funny. Hannah, you being Australian can probably relate to an emu better than any of us! Sorry to hear you got nipped, but you also have a better respect for these birds too, right? Wink
