on my way to work for the last two days I came across a pigeon hopping on on foot with other pigeons under a bridge near a sidewlak in washington dc. is there anything i can do to help the little guy? I don't think he can fly because the other pigeons like to sleep under the bridge above the sidewalk. does anyone know who I can contact i.e. animal rescue in washington dc SW L'Enfant Plaza area?

to the site, Pigeons! So glad you were able to find a rescue group!
Sometimes, a pigeon with a "gimpy" foot or leg can still fly quite well. Did you actually see this pigeon fly?
Hope all goes well! Do update us if and when you can!
Sending ALL THE BEST!

Welcome to the forum Pigeons!
I moved your post into this forum as it is more easily located by other members should you require any urgent help or assistance with a sick or injured bird.
I agree with Shi that there are a lot of pigeons with foot injuries or feet missing that do quite well for themselves in the wild considering. I would keep an eye out for the pigeon in question to get a better idea of flight ability or other concerns that he/she needs to be rescued.
Thanks for your concern and for taking the time to post on the forum. Do keep in touch with any updates you may have.
