Giant Rabbit Finally Finds Home



After eating two sets of owners out of house and home, Roo, a European giant rabbit, was sent back to a pet shop in Scotland.
According to Tracy Simpson, a staff member, “Her new owners thought
they were buying an animal similar to a cat who would come and sit on
their lap and quietly move around the house. But Roo isn’t like that.
She’s full of life and because her teeth never stop growing, she likes
to munch on things. That didn’t go down well.”
Fortunately, Roo has found a suitable home with one of the staff from
the pet shop who is happy to accommodate Roo’s personality and habits.

It's no wonder they named him "Roo"...he's as big as a kangaroo and probably just as hoppy.

I thought she had the look of disgust on her face...but she's just a kid and was probably not prepared to emote properly while being photographed.

Nah..that's just your average miserable Scottish bairn that looks like they've chewed a wasp lol!

Gorgeous rabbit but that rabbit breed really shouldn't have been sold by Pets at Home. That pet chain is known for irresponsible selling of pets and unknowledgeable staff. They used to sell birds but now don't and I believe they have started to now sell exotics of all creatures who will no doubt end up in the hands of people who don't have a clue how to care for them.

Thank you as well for this insight. It's sad to know that most people don't have a clue about the animals they bring home or are willing to learn what their requirements are. Had I have know what you do about this, Lindi, I wouldn't have posted it. But still, it IS a beautiful and gorgeous rabbit!

I am sooo glad Roo finally got a good home!!

There was a member on another site that had a giant rabbit named Thistle. When some of the members and I were fooling around about the Super Power Pigeons ((SPPs), we added Thistle to the group in charge of underground activities! His code name was "Attila the Bun!"

Hard to imagine a rabbit that big! One would almost think someone is making a movie: "Attack of the Giant Bun-Buns!"
