2 million dead fish in Maryland latest mass die off

Something very strange seems to be happening and there are a lot of theories. I wonder if these things have been happening before but were never reported, so massive and close together.

And now this... not too far from where I live

80 pigeons found dead on farm near Quebec City

    ctvmontreal.ca
SAINT-AUGUSTIN-DE-DESMAURES — Reports of dead birds falling from the sky have made headlines across the world this week.
Now police and wildlife officials are investigating a similar mystery
near Quebec City after a farmer found 80 pigeons on his property.

Sylvain Turmel told CTV Montreal's Kai Nagata he finds the whole thing unsettling.
"I opened the door and there were 25 pigeons on the ground," he said Thursday.
Turmel said the pigeons flapped their wings for a while, then died.
Over the past three weeks, Turmel said that almost every day a few
more pigeons have dropped out of the sky onto his property in
    Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures.
There are no obvious signs of physical trauma on these birds.
Wildlife officers have taken five birds to an animal pathology lab in Quebec City for further testing.
David Bird, a McGill wildlife biologist, doesn't expect the lab results will be all that dramatic.
"It's not abnormal to have bird flocks die in large numbers," he said.
"I can tell you right now it isn't a death ray from an alien space
ship, It's not a biblical prophecy coming true. It's none of those
    things at all."
It all started when residents in Arkansas woke up New Year's Day to find 5,000 dead blackbirds in the streets.
Since then, flocks of dead birds have turned up in Louisiana, Sweden -- the list keeps growing.
Bird said each incident has a logical cause, from fireworks to cold weather to eating road salt.
Based on the behaviour of the dying pigeons, Bird suspects foul play may be involved.

"There are a lot of people out there who don't like pigeons," he said.
People in this community believe someone is probably poisoning them on purpose.

More Than 1,000 Dead Birds Fall From Sky In Arkansas
    | 01/ 2/11 10:03 PM |

BEEBE, Ark. — Environmental service workers finished picking up the carcasses on Sunday of about 2,000 red-winged blackbirds that fell dead from the sky in a central Arkansas town.

Mike Robertson, the mayor in Beebe, told The Associated Press the last dead bird was removed about 11 a.m. Sunday in the town about 40 miles northeast of Little Rock. He said 12 to 15 workers, hired by the city to do the cleanup, wore environmental-protection suits for the task.

The birds had fallen Friday night over a 1-mile area of Beebe, and an aerial survey indicated that no other dead birds were found outside of that area. The workers from U.S. Environmental Services started the cleanup Saturday.

Robertson said the workers wore the suits as a matter of routine and not out of fear that the birds might be contaminated. He said speculation on the cause is not focusing on disease or poisoning.

Several hundred thousand red-winged blackbirds have used a wooded area in the town as a roost for the past several years, he said. Robertson and other officials went to the roost area over the weekend and found no dead birds on the ground.

"That pretty much rules out an illness" or poisoning, the mayor said.

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission ornithologist Karen Rowe said Saturday the birds showed physical trauma, and speculated that "the flock could have been hit by lightning or high-altitude hail."

The commission said that New Year's Eve revelers shooting off fireworks could have startled the birds from their roost and caused them to die from stress.

Robby King, a wildlife officer for the commission, collected about 65 dead birds, which will be sent for testing to the state Livestock and Poultry Commission lab and the National Wildlife Health Center lab in Madison, Wis.

Of course something wierd is going on and I remember a real experience many years ago and never forgot it. I took a nap in a back bedroom and it had a small window high up open in the summertime down south and I was in a bottom bunk bed sound asleep and I woke up and my lungs did not work --just did not work---and there was a heavy colder substance coming down on me from the window and I ran out of the room and shut the door into the bathroom and shut the door and finally my lungs started working again as I was about to go unconscious and drop dead because my lungs stopped working.. I told everybody at that time and everybody where I worked as well but no one took it seriously or cared or even gave me a feeling of belief in the story. But I never forgot that experience. There was a railroad track a few miles from the house and maybe a train spilled some chemical or something that stopped lungs from moving or paralyzed them or something and I just called it a "Poison air pocket" that caused this...but it was quite an experience I tell you so there is a lot of crap out there...Yea something happened that killed those birds and fish...something happened.

That is weird about the pigeons next, Dave! Sad I have to wonder if it's some sicko poisoning them like suggested and trying to add to the already strange amount of mass deaths of other animals.

I believe your story c.hert There are strange things out there and carbon dioxide 'clouds' have killed lots of people before. Here's one such story: http://seanbuckley.ca/blog/2007/05/22/lake-emits-carbon-dioxide-bubble-kills-1800-people/

This could be an explanation for the blackbird deaths, or even the fish...but all of them, around the same time, from all over the world? Maybe it is possible and its a scary thought! Many people don't realize that the oceans are capturing most of the carbon dioxide that man puts out from our cars and factories and then gets released it back into the air.
