Hi Peaches....wow, I'm impressed!
Are you sure that is what it is...I have heard of the breed but never seen any pictures. I thought this bird was just spectacular!
Thanks for the identification on him/her.

That is one pretty bird. It never ceases to amaze me at how many different colors and variations there are in the world of pigeons.

Hi Brad,
I'm not that impressive. I just have a good refrence book. It's the Pigeons in North America that the NPA put out a couple of years back. I was lucky enough that there was a color picture exactly like that bird in there.

Me too Larry. When I go to a show, it is almost overwhelming how many wonderful birds there are. And I'd like to have a pair of each!

Well no matter, it's still impressive Peaches.
Thanks again and now that the breed has been identified by yourself, I've uploaded the picture into the photo gallery.

I believe Peaches is correct
It does look like a Neuremburg Lark. Good call. Archangels (Gimpels), Larks (Thuringer, Berne, Neuremburg), Starlings, and Suabians, are all very similar and are closely related to the Swallows and other German Toy breeds. Some very pretty birds.

Last year at the Pageant of Pigeons in San Bernadino I saw some Suabians for the first time. I'll have to see if I can find some pictures I took. They are really stunning in person.

This is a Nuremberg Lark. The difference between this and the Coburg Lark is that in Coburgs, only the chest is that 'yellow bronze' color. With Nurembergs such as this one, the yellow color covers the head, neck, and chest. All larks are very pretty and interesting looking.
