Thanks for the video, maniac. Osprey are incredibly beautiful. I'm abbout a 45 min drive from the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, run by NYS. They have had a program to increase the osprey population. I've even seen a babies nest thru a telescope. To watch the adults fly is fascinating

We have Osprey in my town, since our town is located on somewhat of a peninsula surrounded by rivers. However, you don't really see them around unless you are down by the river. Here is a short video I found:

Those two osprey video's were just wonderful to see and I never knew about osprey's but they are sure powerful birds and good fisher birdies and I wondered about that first video that Maniac put on when the bird was carrying its prey with just one foot and wondered if the fish bite the bird..Fascinating and thank you..

That video was spectacular! Beautiful footage and did you see the size of that last fish it caught!?! I think it was too heavy to carry and probably had to land in the grass somewhere to eat it. Amazing birds for sure and one hawk that won't go after a pigeon anyway.

I think we have them here too Lin, but I've never seen one.
