So, do these guys just blow up when they're showing off? I keep wondering how the heck they can eat anything with that big chest below their beak. Rolling Eyes
That last picture sure is a pretty bird. Smile

    Hi Archie,

Thanks for the added photos of your pigeons, very nice looking birds indeed! Smile I'm curious like Renee about the crop on the croppes and how that works. That is a nice saddle homer too, you have gorgeous birds and what looks to be a very sturdy and secure loft. Very Happy

Thanks everyone most of the croppers can infalte and deflate their crops to suit when feeding and drinking though sour crop can occur in the norwich just have to keep an eye on them for gorging................cheers Archie

Hi Archie...thanks for explaining how the croppers manage to eat and drink by deflating their crops. Do they have their crops inflated most times when they are not eating or drinking?

If they have large crops they usually keep it inflated especially when trying to impress the opposite sex..............................cheers Archie

Croppers are something else, Archie!! They have some beautiful breeds! Saw them at our State Fair.

Watching them inflate and deflate was a riot!

    You have beautiful examples!!
